A counterpoint would be that the way the world actually works is that there are chill people who are open to different reasonable opinions and there are dumb ideologues; and you should get the former and not the latter and that automatically gets you intellectual quality too

Diego Gambetta press.princeton.edu/books/paperb... has the theory that Russian mobsters in the 90s figured out how to run things/how to talk by basically watching The Godfather. I suspect college tours work the same way.

I don't understand the issue -- obviously (to my mind) students should be aware of what's possible with current tech. That includes teaching how to use ChatGPT to generate usable code.

Look around the other labs and see if you think this is paint-by-numbers.

I thought Lab #10 was nice...
