He and Charlie talk about her "ignoring unimportant things and people" but...how much of that could also be that she got used to doing things on her own? To being the Consistent parent, bc Luci was The Fun Dad who showed up with ponies occasionally and then ignored the entire world the rest of them

So you can get in this situation where you love them but you don't have the same relationship, and you can't rely on them to consistently show up (or even care about) things that are important to you

And I can't help but look at canon Luci and think that was Lillith's experience with him

The really nasty uncomfortable truth is that you can love someone a whole bunch, but unless they are also willing and able to fight for healing, there is nothing you can do to make them get better

And depression in particular is a nasty beast bc it makes you not care about fighting for anything

Like my Baggage with Luci shipping is that I'm always going to root on the side of "Lillith gets a divorce", not bc of rival ships, but bc I have lived experience being married young to a partner with mental health issues

And I'm always going to remember how much pressure there is to "fix" ur man
