Okay, this one tickled me, but I didn't like it. I immediately went to the SSG when I found an opening so I can clear the chaff. Less shotgun ammo for Cyber would've made it interesting.

The coolest hot start in the west. A couple of neat set-pieces is what saves this map from my personal dumpster, surprisingly enough. I am not wowed by the architecture, and outside of the set-pieces, it's incredibly sluggish. I kinda roll my eyes on this one.

I totally didn't miss the secret jump after clearing out the inner courtyard, I swear. This map's a masterclass in linear map design btw, with a lot of separate rooms and elevation. I allowed myself to be bullheaded with infighting outside - good thing I pistol start.

The most workmanlike of the gothic chapter tbh. I don't feel anything about this one other than the easy candle secrets and the first SSG of the wad.

Two easy secrets and a buttload of fodder. Nothing in here is especially threatening if you're not bullheaded about it, like I was with the pinky trap. Good visual cues for progression, and I personally like more linear map design.
