Also, and this is my point of view of course is that people driving a car tend to get mad at bikes running a red light because they increase the danger of an accident when doing so and as a general rule drivers don't want to run over anybody either a cyclist or a pedestrian.

In any case my view is that in terms of vulnerability: pedestrians > cyclists > cars, so my tendency would always be to require more control as you become more dangerous.

When I read the line about 'the only person you're likely to kill is yourself' and then a mention about pedestrians afterwards and the cyclist getting seriously injured it did read to me as cyclist being more vulnerable than pedestrians but may have indeed inferred too much from your message 😅

Science and data seems to disagree: "Collisions between pedestrians and cyclists can lead to serious injury and even death, with pedestrians usually more seriously injured" etrr.springeropen.com/articles/10....

Tricky subject I'd say. By a similar logic you could also argue that a photographer is not an artist. And I'm not saying I completely disagree with the video but the way to justify things doesn't really hold imo.

It's a key2 LE. Can't remember if the keyboard was touch or not, but I think it did.

Such a great phone. Sad they did not manage to get it with BlackberryOS and get that OS to have some traction. Passport was also an amazing device.

The original book is in Spanish and I'm not sure if the translation is accurate (based on what I can see on the front page it may have been tweaked slightly to sound more appealing to the US market) but hopefully the whole of the content is the same.

There's this book that I read quite a few years ago about exactly that. It starts explaining that we always try and find correlation on successful companies when in fact it may be easier to find it on why most companies fail. Interesting read.

When you say writing an emulator, what degree are we talking about? Are you using qemu or writing more from scratch? Just genuinely curious

Is this a source of inspiration for teenage engineering op-1 maybe? Keys and colors look really similar!

Awesome, I had never heard of this rebranded 1600SW. There is some interesting info in here also: tinkerdifferent.com/threads/radi...
Radius Artica Display with custom DVI cable
I've been looking for one of these displays for years. Today was my lucky day! This is a very rare Radius branded version of the SGI 1600SW. It's 1600x1024 and would normally have an OpenLDI connector...
