🏅 Another fantastic day for Gumley Sport! Our Year 7 team won the Sports Hall Athletics competition, Year 8 A took 1st place and Year 8 B came 2nd! Huge thanks to the 18 Year 9 & 10 leaders who supported the event brilliantly. So proud of our girls!

A brilliant day of inspiration for our top Year 11 linguists! Students spent the day at Royal Holloway, University of London exploring the world of languages beyond GCSE - from discovering language‑based careers to learning what it’s like to study languages at university.

A well‑deserved pause for our Year 12s today, after completing their mock exams. Year 12 head to St Mary’s University for a retreat of reflection, identity and renewal. We’re proud of their hard work, resilience and openness - and grateful to St Mary’s for such a warm welcome.

Our Netball Team travelled to our friends at Bolder Academy and came home with a fantastic 2-0 win. Superb teamwork, great movement on court, and real determination from every player.

Starting 2026 exactly as we mean to go on! Our Year 7 team kicked off their first match of the year away at Brentford - a tough, end‑to‑end battle from start to finish. A moment of brilliance from Isabella M sealed the game with a stunning strike, securing a 1–0 win for Gumley!

Some Year 7 students were accompanied to Wintershall estate in Guildford to experience the nativity production with live animals. The students were exemplary and inspired at the way in which the scenes from Nazareth and Bethlehem came to life on the estate.

Our GCSE cyclists took on a tough, physically demanding course - and they were exceptional, giving 100% effort throughout! The girls learnt new skills and capped it off with a 10‑mile time trial: 🥇 Taylor – 1st place (38.13) 🥈 Lucy – 2nd place 🥉 Nahla – 3rd place. Well done, girls!

What a fantastic achievement for our KS3 badminton teams! 🎉 Three teams of talented Year 7–9 girls competed against 18 schools across the Borough. Each team showed resilience with impressive wins in the qualifiers. Team A were crowned Borough Champions after a nail‑biting final vs Heathland.
