Does anyone else while late-night scrolling real estate porn come across a sentence like this and immediately assume it was a murder basement?

I feel physically ill at the thought that someone could find this a plausible attribution (“you are special too”‽) but that also could be the key lime pie. Still, this post does not incline me to “read with Ravi,” as Ravi is coming off as kind of illiterate. www.instagram.com/p/DLxUTDmOUaK/

Is it stereotyping to use this in a French lesson if it’s also a universal truth?

I wonder if Scarface with literally translated subtitles was confusing for French people who didn’t know English.

Finally got to read @torreypeters.bsky.social Stag Dance, now reading some of the media around it… why do so many (including @theguardian.com) think Krys in The Masker is 13/ a teen? Did they not realize “8th grade girl” is a metaphor? Did they miss the part about graduating w/ humanities BA?

Does anyone know of software (probably AI-assisted) to go through a very large number of images, to sort out those are good to print in a large size from those that are slightly blurry, etc? I don’t want it to fix or enhance, just find the least bad photos. Has anyone tried Aftershoot?

I waited until I could get an ebook to ensure I got this right: I see why some people thought @praddenkeefe.bsky.social oversympathetic to the IRA, as here he depicts Gerry Adams supporting attempts to assassinate Thatcher — then seems surprised the UK parliament didn’t speak against a hit on Adams.

French Duolingo teaching me how to say United Kingdom only when we get to the section on weather and only to talk about how much it rains there.

And then, once a word has been jackhammered into your memory by repeatedly missing it, they take it off.
