Definitely agree there! I’ve found it’s all about the lighting. It’s much harder to photograph glossy bare plastic than painted kits I find.

For the rifle barrels it’s Mr Hobby Super Gold II then covered with a clear brown. The oil stain / heat effect is clear blue, clear red and clear yellow!
