Liberals: Remind them Trudeau stood against this Bill,
NPD, Bloc, + Liberals can be appealed to with queer community concerns,
Conservatives may be more amicable to free speech concerns,

Use bullet points (emails get forwarded and skimmed, so be clear),
Be polite but firm,
The Senator who introduced this Bill is a self-proclaimed progressive and should care about the perspectives of women and/or queer people,

We have a chance to stop this before it gets in. Please, if you are Canadian, use the power of your voice to stop this before it gets passed. Email your MPs and email Julie Miville-Dechêne (the woman behind the bill) and tell them this is a bad idea you do not support.

The definition of pornography in bill S-209 is also so broad that it can also include sexual education material and sex and nudity in TV and books like Game of Thrones. Not to mention Visa and Mastercard as STILL pushing back on Steam and Itch to ban 18+ games.

This bill calms to help protect kids but it does not. It passing would mean we'd have to enter Government issued IDs to access sites like Facebook and Twitter's 18+ content. They are trying to pass a similar bill to what the UK passed a few months ago when this all started.
