On average, Danes bike and walk more for daily commutes and errands in Denmark than is typical for a comparable person in the US. But, yes, it’s also the food: Danes buy and keep less junk food at home and are more likely to make/eat home-cooked meals with less processed food than Americans.

There are no food stamps in Scandinavian countries. Unless a person is legally designated to have a guardian, government support for most or all of a poor person’s basic living expenses are delivered mostly or entirely as money into the personal bank account of the eligible benefits recipient.

I briefly scanned thru a couple of hundred of the names of Americans whom Russia has listed. Looked like they had Minnesota state attorney general Keith Ellison’s name on there. Delta Airlines CEO Ed Bastian was listed — perhaps because Delta is no longer partners with Aeroflot.

NYTimes picking someone from pro-Republican AEI when there are less partisan alternatives to address a topic is yet another indication that the NYTimes is a right of center publication which is inclined to advance narratives favorable to the Trump regime and Trump supporters.

But people in these positions at “think tanks” like this are also all about the funding/fundraising to keep them getting paid a lot, and so they know who to kiss up to in order to keep on the gravy train. The guy for whom he is batting is a billionaire.

They would rather maintain professional or even social access to rich, famous and powerful people than to upset such people by challenging lies and obfuscation coming from such people.

Isn’t his overall approval rating still around the 37+% mark in a country where around a third of the country doesn’t even vote? That’s bad for the country because it’s not good enough to get Congress or the Cabinet to get rid of Trump.

Between more availability of never-ending personal entertainment options and longer work (or work+commute) hours, household labor distribution was destined to become a growing frictional factor in partnership dynamics than it already was.
