I’ve been following the development of Draw Steel since the beginning, and I cannot wait to run this game. We’re switching to Draw Steel from 5e for our next campaign for exactly the reasons you mentioned here - the variety of stories we can tell, the characters we can make, etc. Can’t wait.

I got into it as a way to spice up our actual play, figured the extra visual aid would be nice on camera. It is, too. Looks great. Just eats up too much of my prep time building maps so I’m looking for alternate solutions that would still provide some decent visual flair. Thank you for your input (:

See, I do the same thing but with physical terrain. I am fortunate to have a borderline absurd amount of Dwarven Forge and other misc terrain on hand, which rules, but I find myself spending hours trying to make a ‘perfect’ build. Not to mention the stuff gets wildly expensive pretty quick.
