This scene freaked me out as a kid.
Here are images of the unknown shadow creature (a Tarchannen III native) in the original ⬅️ and remastered ➡️ versions of #StarTrekTNG's "Identity Crisis". The episode is called "Der Unbekannte Schatten" ("The Unknown Shadow") in German and boy - did that grey thing creep me out when I was young!

I'm reading this book for my long-running book club focusing on sci-fi and fantasy. We read both old books and new and after years of doing it, we're on the verge of quitting new books. Old books are often not as well-written (this one is, though), but new books disappoint us by being boring af.
