Our researchers on the CHIME team had a big moment in 2025 as the team discovered the repeating fast radio burst source FRB 20240209A. Our Center researchers part of the discovery were Mohit Bhardwaj, Emmanuel Fonseca, Bikash Kharel, & Swarali Patil. 🤩🤩🤩🤩

We are pleased to announce our discovery of #GW241011 and #GW241110

Both come from binary black holes where one black hole is much larger than the other. The larger black holes have large spin. Could these black holes have formed in a previous merger?

Scientists know dark energy makes up ~ 70% of the universe & is responsible for the universe’s accelerating expansion. Beyond that, little about it is certain; WVU's Kevin Bandura is enhancing the calibration of telescopes that tell astronomers about dark energy.
