GW Law Munich 2025 🇩🇪

From IP & AI to privacy & internet law, we spent a month learning, exploring, and connecting—thanks to brilliant faculty, generous hosts at MIPLC, and the moments in between.

Leaving Munich with full hearts, new ideas, and a little more perspective than we came with.

Ariana & Monica have been the creative force behind GWCLT’s newsletters and social media for the past two years—highlighting faculty, celebrating students & keeping our community connected. We're deeply grateful for all their efforts and can’t wait to see what they do next as GW alumni. 👏

A heartfelt thanks to the team at Fieldfisher Munich for taking time out of their busy day to host us.
We learned so much about EU law, dispute resolution, and legal training—and truly appreciated the attorneys who stuck around to chat over Bavarian nibbles and skyline views. 🥨🌇

Thank you to BMW for welcoming GW Law Munich!

We explored how trademarks, design & copyright are handled in-house—then toured BMW Welt and the Museum, where brand and design history come alive.

Prof. Betts, who joined the Clinic in January 2024, made remarkable strides in strengthening the Clinic's work across all areas of intellectual property law.

The Clinic’s success is a testament to their dedication to mentoring and teaching students, and we are deeply grateful for their commitment.

Prof. Darden joined GW Law in July 2022 to create the Clinic & served as an excellent Director for its first three years. While she will no longer serve in that role, she will be returning in the Fall as an adjunct professor to assist the Clinic with its patent-related matters.

A heartfelt thank you to Professor Loletta Darden and Professor Marcya Betts for their outstanding work and service to GW Law’s Intellectual Property and Technology Law Clinic!
