There hasn’t been any data collected in October, so while data may still be posted for September, for as long as the shutdown there simply won’t be data.
However, once data collection resumes, we will be able to infer the changes by looking at total levels.

I’m always saddened when a former federal worker are willing to assume the worst of the bureaucrats trying their best to do their jobs. Currently there are no political appointees at the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

It depends on what you mean by “use” the reports, in terms of web views there are tens of thousands per report, but the data itself also sees a large number of other uses. So it is hard to put an exact number on the number of users. But you could always reach out to BLS and ask if they have an idea.

BLS is still working hard to accurately report those figures. But BLS is stretched thin right now and you can expect variance to increase as sample sizes decrease and less resources for data validation. And if you use non-PFEI data, contact your representatives now before they’re cut.

But the fact remains, the average American was better off in 2024 than they were in 2019. I’m sorry you weren’t included.

If you don’t take that period into consideration then you have to agree that Donald Trump’s presidency caused 20 million people to lose their jobs. Which means that Biden created 21 million jobs for Americans, pretty impressive.

That was the economy recovering all of the low wage jobs that were lost due to COVID layoffs.
It is best to ignore the spike and instead track real wages from the end of 2019 to the start of 2022, which you can see real wages were still higher.

There are no teams at BLS, we are apolitical. And as long as we have resources we will continue to produce data. The fact remains by the end of Biden’s administration Americans were doing as well if not better than they were in 2019, despite American’s more negative outlook on the economic future.
