We should be worried about this sort of penalty. Very generous, and we will have one go against us at a very inopportune moment at some point in the tourney.

Yeah we shouldn’t be happy about it. Things will even themselves out in the CL at the wrong moment eventually.

Very generous pen.

So generous you can call it an early Christmas present.

Ref also spent no time looking at it. Probably has a rubber stamp next to his cards.

More than even. More generous than most that one

It took me a moment to remember there are other gentlemen with the surname Polanski.

This one is definitely a pen....

I mean I wouldn't do that anyway... you'd probably pass out and not make it until the big match tmw...

I'm pretty sure that he'll say this wasn't a foul. Maybe not wise to come out with a comment about what the ref should have said (he's right), but Dale is fair.
August 30, 2025 at 12:40 PM
He’s talking about what was said on the mic. He should have just called it a foul.

We need journos who know something about refs and refereeing, and the processes going on behind the scenes.

Was it a foul? Nah. Is it Dales fault for reporting the news? No.
August 30, 2025 at 12:12 PM
Already posted that ref should have just called it a “foul” rather than a “careless foul” - which he is right about - no need to be technical.

But

It’s very very soft.

Agreed, however the language here is clear - “causing the keeper to hold the ball for more than 8 seconds”

Seems like Hoops in the Man Utd game was penalising very quickly and early any time a player stood in front of the keeper.

Not sure the law change was intended to penalise that?

The corner provision only says that the GK cannot be challenged when in control… but we know that standing in the way is not a challenge.
August 17, 2025 at 4:11 PM
The 8s only starts when the GK can realistically release the ball right? So if someone is standing in front, there is more time provided. I wonder if the PL interpretation might not be strictly in line with the laws?

The point is not about PA, it’s about passing off the incident as something it wasn’t.

There’s nuance here, whether you like it or not, the comment seemed a little disingenuous and that’s why I was a little disappointed.

That doesn’t mean I will stop watching. I love these videos!

Interesting. So it follows from your statement that an elderly person peacefully protesting in support of any proscribed organisation (regardless of what you think of said organisation) should be allowed to do so?

Are there any on this list that are off limits? www.gov.uk/government/p...
Proscribed terrorist groups or organisations

Great vid until the political bit... disappointed that you did a throwaway point on a current affairs topic that has more nuance than you gave it time for.

Might I suggest this video regarding always needing to seek the bigger picture...

Whether there is a chance of success is a question for someone like Sean. However, decent barristers don't usually give out free advice on the inter webs ;)
