STATUS UPDATE: Apparently there's a industry-wide standard for medical records and imaging data called DICOM.

Which means all a fellow needs is a reader and a copy of the data to twist a bit.

Through the power of boredom and painkillers, vestigial parts of my shader are now working. They were originally built to use a framebuffer, but... it works this way?

Status update: I won.

Fuck those cookies. They can never mock me again.
A large, stainless steel blender in operation. A wooden stir stick in the top of the blender is blurry in the shot as it bounces around uncontrollably. An oddly pink smoothie in a floral chinaware tea mug. Beside the cup is the absurdly overpowered blender that created it. The tea mug is reflected in the blender's polished stainless steel casing. Through the reflection, the pattern on the tea mug can be seen. A brown, frothy smoothie in a chinaware tea mug. To the side is the stainless steel monstrosity that created it.

Status Update: The RAID Project is finally done!

The drive cage arrived late last night.

Fastening, cabling, initialization, and the works while high as a kite on post-surgery meds.

A short, wide computer sits amongst a pile of tools, fittings, cables, and general trash on a butcher-block style worktop. The computer's faceplate is missing. Attached to the face is an immensely oversized radiator, paired with two fans. Black wire finger-guards are installed on the fans. The two 5 1/4 inch drive bays have been filled with an 8-bay drive cage. All drive slots are lit green

Status update: Now in long term recovery phase.

After a lot of fighting with runaway bees, and around 2 false starts, we now have the beginnings of a bottle full of bees with a storage room, and an office.

As frustrating as it was, I'm pretty please with how this monstrosity turned out.

Wow. You mean to tell me that new CPUs DON'T naturally run hot, but rather that I've had a failing cooling pump for over a year and didn't hear it?

I have been left unattended again.
A pint glass labeled Guinness has, unsurprisingly, a pint of Guinness in it. The pint is sitting pretty on a white cocktail napkin, which is sitting on a dark marble bar top. Off to the top left is the trough of a beer tap, and behind the bar is a stainless steel bar fridge. Above the beer fridge is a collection of glasses, and a mirror.

Day 7, the travel debacle:
- The plane broke down at takeoff, and went back to the gate
- Next plane is in 6 hours
- Fellow stranded passenger keeps buying me pints, so the day is immensely better
- Me and two strangers are having an in depth discussion about almost everything.

Day 6, The final day:
- Visited the Aga Khan Museum
- Had a chicken salad at a Laotian bar
- Had a final pint at a local brewpub in an alley somewhere
An incredibly ornate, tiled water fountain. The fountain is nearly like a miniature town square in appearance. The tiling becomes smaller, and further detailed as it progresses into the center, where the small tower resides. An array of lampshades made like woven baskets hang from the ceiling. Each diffuses the light of a single light bulb. The small handful of light bulbs comfortably illuminate the maroon painted surroundings of the restaurant. An array of shelving in the wall is holding woven baskets, ceramic skulls, and various, redundant, bottles of spirits. A humble beer mug on a marble countertop. The ale in the mug is a hazy amber, with a generous foam on top. The surrounding area in the pub is dimly lit, dim enough to be unintelligible in the picture. A shot out the window of the humble pub, a few cars are parked on the side of the road, surrounded by massive apartment and condo complexes. The sky can be seen between the skyscrapers. A faint blue tint can be seen on the horizon as the sun sets.

Day 5:
A restful day...
- Had an Italian roast beef sandwich
- Picked up an order of two bundles of balloons for a little kid's birthday
- Napped
A roast beef panino, cut in half, sits on a plain white plate on a table. An iced coffee is partially out of shot on the top left. A sizable bundle of foil and rubber helium balloons. All the bundles are wrapped in white plastic bags, and unceremoniously stuffed into the boiler room.

Day 4:
- Had a maple pecan butter tart
- Visited mansion of bankrupted mogul
- Had gnocchi at an Italian cafe
- Went to a comedy night
A maple pavan butter tart, and a cup of coffee on ice are sitting on top of a rough wooden table. The coffee has the cafe's name, Dark Horse Espresso Bar. One room of many in the mansion of Casa Loma. This completely round office contains two guest chairs, a couch to the side, and an executive office chair behind a well made wooden desk. In front of the desk is a smaller table holding a book, likely a guest list from Casa Nova's days as a residence. A collection of fancy pottery sits beside the desk. A poorly taken photograph of the Cafe Diplomatico from a table on the patio. A canopy over the balcony is fully retracted, allowing the sun to shine through. A pint of beer in a novelty glass shaped like a regular can of beer rests on a table. Labeled on the side of the pint glass is: "Society of Beer Drinking Ladies" Slightly out of the shot is a row of folding chairs.

Day 3:

- Had salted iced coffee
- Went to pick at The Hudson's Bay Company's dead corpse like a vulture (but got distracted by craft beer instead)
- Went for tasty local pizza
- Went out for cocktails
A small Vietnamese cafe. The kitchen and vending area is painted dark, while the dining area is painted and furnished brightly. A certificate from Cordon Blue hangs on the wall beside a trip of paintings of Vietnamese women in traditional dress. A humble bar and restaurant. A small, beige LCD display is playing a rerun of Seinfeld. The dining area is tightly packed with small tables with marble countertops. Along the wall is compact, efficient booth seating. All over the walls are various forms of art. Some references to jokes and memes, some original, and some genuine. 4 different glasses sit atop rough stone coasters on a table. Each has a notably different concoction inside it, and various forms and amounts of ice.

Crisis averted.
A vacant, copper adorned brewpub. The bartop is a sheet of red copper. Resting on the countertop is a cocktail napkin, and a half-litre tulip glass full of red ale. The glass is a logo of 3 brewers in their red aprons, each carrying a mug of beer. Underneath the picture of the 3 brewers is the name "3 BRASSEURS"
