I'm curious, do you make your own preserved lemon or do you buy it? I've only bought them.

Today's pundits are terminally online. They have a distorted view of reality (and the constant self-interested need to churn out takes). Very little that they have to say is relevant to a thoughtful study of politics.

I thought this might be just the rantings of a senile 79 year-old, but he has always been like this apparently.

Thanks for posting this. I knew the name, but nothing about him. This is a great bio. Sounds like an all-around great guy: sabr.org/bioproj/pers...

De Cecco is not subject to the tariffs.

I see your point, but this team also employs Blake Treinen and Miguel Rojas, who bullied Jazz in Miami.

Thanks!

What kind of guitar is that? I only have an acoustic guitar and am in the market for an electric guitar.

I agree for next year. But, you've changed the terms of your argument. You started by complaining about THIS year.

Gil would have been the #4 starter if Cole hadn't been hurt. Name one team other than the Dodgers that had a better #4 starter coming into the season.
October 8, 2025 at 2:03 AM
15 wins and 3.0 WAR for Gil. I suspect that you cannot be reasoned with.
October 8, 2025 at 1:57 AM
Gil won Rookie of the Year last year and Schmidt was a perfectly good 4th starter this year.

I don't think that you could get majorities for those in the House and the Senate, especially the last one.
October 2, 2025 at 5:56 PM
I don't think that are many legal theorists other than Dworkin who would disagree.

In the short run, maybe, but I'm hard-pressed to come up with any harm that the Republicans could do without the filibuster that they haven't already done with the filibuster. Maybe cut SNAP and Medicaid more, but that would hurt red states more than blue states.

They're betting that educational polarization will outweigh ethnic identity--that Hispanic voters with low levels of education will see those apprehended or hassled as different.

Rich kid having a temper tantrum.

That is EXACTLY what a child of privilege would say.
September 21, 2025 at 10:39 PM
You are the ultimate privileged elitist.
September 21, 2025 at 10:32 PM
You have the luxury of a lot of time on the Internet. You are not marginalized.
September 21, 2025 at 10:30 PM
Marginalized people do not have the time to carefully review Congressional roll call votes.
September 21, 2025 at 10:23 PM
I don't think that this matters. Nobody's vote is going to be affected by this. In fact, it probably helps a tiny bit in that they can't be accused of a party-line anti-Kirk vote. Might be a few indy voters who don't know Kirk and have sympathy for his family.
September 20, 2025 at 1:22 PM
They are not an intelligently-run organization. Two outrages in two days-this and the Kirk scoreboard yesterday. I'm not very enthusiastic about watching the game tonight.

You're like a broken record. I see your point, but, man, is it getting tedious. I don't think repeating yourself over and over again is going to win any converts at this point.
