Same. My brother and I both received survivor benefits. I think I was supposed to get it for longer but Reagan had other plans. He tried to cut it off at 16 but that didn't pass and I got it until I was 18. That money really helped my family.

I was actually part of a Vista modernization effort a bunch of years ago. Looks like nothing much changed. It's a hugely complicated system and those DOGE fucknuts have no clue what they are doing. But you know, just rip it out and start over. What's the worst that could happen? 🤣

Stayed off Facebook. Cancelled The Washington Post for NPR. Got milk from Aldi (German owned). Visited a local jewelry shop to get a watch fixed. Washed my car at a local shop.
Took my kid to Macy's for dress clothes for a funeral tomorrow. Almost every item we got was on Last Chance sale.

I'm also concerned about immigrants and citizens being rounded up, cancelling valid congressionally funded programs in some weird attempt to "protect women", trying to erase the entirety of the trans community and stop all their medical care.
