Early Sunday morning, watched the film Moomins and the Comet Chase at a theatre. Everyone a little peculiar, everyone a little brave, and somehow it all turns out all right in the end. The Comet Song by Björk

Spent Saturday afternoon wandering and treasure-hunting at the Kanda Used Book Festival in Jimbocho, Tokyo, and these were among this year's finds, beautifully printed volumes about libraries in the Nordic countries, filled with essays and photographs.

Good morning from Harpa Concert Hall. It's around eight and still this dark, the wind cold enough to remind me that winter's coming.

Hallgrímskirkja seems to have dressed up tonight, reckon it's Iceland's colours?

Just realised it's Sunday evening. Feels like a good idea to have Sunday dinner outside. Having been to this restaurant several times, this evening I'm having the Atlantic wolffish served on a hot pan, the rich cream sauce just right for someone quite tired.

First thing in #Reykjavík, straight to a hot dog

Came back to #Reykjavík again, before it got too dark. Somehow Iceland feels a touch like home now, especially after those extra days stuck in Nuuk, Greenland.

Standing at Nuuk Airport, London feels both near and far, but Reykjavík is close today, after feeling so far yesterday.

Last night, the rain turned to snow. It feels like winter now, and in fact, summertime ended last night.

Farewell #Nuuk, #Greenland, after two extra days. Grateful for a fruitful and productive symposium, and for the wonderful presentations and conversations with exceptional friends and associates, both old and new.
I took this photo on the first day, already four days ago.

The Groke in Nuuk. Still stuck in cold Nuuk after repeated flight cancellations, back in the hotel room again. No need to search for warmth like her, just a bit of comfort. Out for dinner, perhaps?

Dinner tonight. Wild salmon from the fjord, not farmed, only in #Greenland, so I heard. Sounds delicious, doesn't it? Of course it was. And with jasmine rice, rice what a delight after bread every day.

Another night in Nuuk. It happens, I know. I don't mind, but his face says it all. How to spend the evening, then? Work in the room?

I thought this morning would be my last view of the mountains in Nuuk, but with my flight cancelled due to weather, it seems I've got another day in Greenland. Let's see how this all ends.

That red vessel over there is a container vessel operated by Royal Arctic Line A/S, Greenland's state-owned shipping company holding the exclusive concession for sea freight services to, from, and within Greenland.

Did you know? From here in #Nuuk, New York is actually closer than Copenhagen.

Today's conference lunch, buffet-style, a reminder that I'm no expert at plating.

Old Nuuk is quite wonderful to explore. Now that I am here, I feel these colourful houses are not merely for visitors to admire, but part of the town shaped by everyday life. I still cannot say clearly, but Nuuk, the capital of Greenland, makes me feel somehow curious. I am searching for my answer.

Plenty of boats at the harbour. Walking around #Nuuk, I've been looking at this kind of rocky scenery a lot.

Late lunch at Igaffik, a cafeteria-style restaurant, I suppose, in the harbour area. The food's quite wonderful, and that's the delight of a meal by the harbour.
