June 27, 2023. The day we brought her home from the hospital after a 3 day stay. She couldn’t breathe or walk. We thought we’d lose her. They worked a miracle and got her back home. That’s our daughter hugging her while we all cried tears of joy. This has been pinned over there since that day 🐾❤️

FB food memories: my daughter asked me to replicate an In n Out Double Double. She didn’t want onion. No problem. And I doubled up the lettuce to save the bun from disintegrating quickly.

Thousand island, tomato, lettuce & patties with cheese on a brioche. She loved it.

We’ve watched a few docs about cults. Each time my wife & I look at each other in disbelief asking “How do these people follow a person like that and believe everything he says???” This is like watching one of those docs every single day.

Gatti Sr and “Irish” Mickey Ward had 3 of the greatest bouts, ever. Pulled straight from the Rocky theme, Ward was a local boxer working the street repair crew in Lowell MA. Got the call that superstar Arturo asked him to fight. The rest is boxing lore.

8 years ago today. Pictured is the Coffey Park area in Santa Rosa. That fire came from the Napa Valley, traversed a mountain range, straight down to Hwy 101 where it jumped over to the west side and devastated quite a few areas like this one.

Thanks! This started as a chicken thigh stew in a thick broth. Then I remembered I had meatballs in the freezer. Then I remembered I had bought a case of cans of crushed tomatoes.

There’s a whole marinated grilled chicken in that container, 6 freshly made flour tortillas on top, best refried beans I’ve ever had under the griddled onions & peppers, next to amazing Mexican rice. All from a local taqueria, and all for $17. It fed us for 3 nights!

FB food memories: this one hits home. When our daughter was still home, I’d have to make two different types of wings. Background heavily sauced & spicy, foreground extra large batch of lightly seasoned (not spicy) for my wife & daughter.
