And in no way am I saying there’s anything wrong with being neurodivergent, from my own personal experience the general public are either inexperienced or completely ignorant towards the matter and it sickens me to my core. Ableism is alive and well.

I’m not one to post full on rants, especially about my personal life but this is so disheartening. I am hyper aware of my faults and traumas, I live through them every day but the lack of support for something that’s been looked over for so long? An absolute kick to the tits.

Mind you they casually dropped the fact that the waiting list for assessment is SIX YEARS. Like I get that the NHS is severely underfunded but after mentioning that I’ll probably go private within that timeframe they then let me know that a private assessment won’t be recognised.. WHAT?!
