Part of me wants to say their style is too soft and rounded to be "crunchy" but I really can't argue with either.

It's one of those things I feel like I'd recognize and be easier to explain if I had something that fit the bill infront of me.

I would call it something with a lot of movement and noise but not frantic. Variations in line weight, hard angles, but overall reserved composition. Like Basquiat is not crunchy. Crunchy often refers to lofi aesthetics in media like analog artifacting. Not sure if the meanings a 1 to 1 with drawing

I have a soft spot for Warcraft. To the point that I don't know what it's missing. I kinda think that they tried too hard to make it appropriately well rounded and a straight "Orcs bad humans good" narrative would have sold better. Relied established fandom too hard.
