Ah, bugger. Hey at least I know now. Thank you so much for telling me. 😁 I'm still sort of new to these things. I'll get there eventually. It was lovely seeing your work too. Everyone has such a unique style and different way of doing things.

Hope the train is still in service, I'd like to join if that's okay?

And usually I'll paint jars and bottles, but I'd like to offer some of my other stuff.

Hope you like it?

The bunny in the petal hat is definitely adorable. But can we talk about the dress? It's such a gorgeous colour, and the tiny little embellishments and patterns on the sleeves and skirt are lovely.

And I don't know where this train of thought came from. It just popped into my head today when I was scanning people.

I think, it's one of those things that you don't think about until you 'see' it, and make that link.

But the fact doesn't seem, obvious, until it hits you, and stays in your head.

😁 I kind of like the idea of prosthetic legs and shoes being made of old wizard staffs and tools. One of the old women in my wip is using a druid's club as a prosthetic leg, and it rattles with coins and trinkets every time she walks.

I'd love if there was some lore behind the stilettos where the more powerful the witch the more insanely tall the heels on her boots.

*gasp*

What if there was an incredibly powerful witxh, and the heels of her stilettos were made of discarded old wands!?

Magic feet.

Every day is a learning day...

Did not realise that the Isle of Wight had wolf spiders.

There's no balance I've found, I either have to take one mad, inspired frenzy writing day, or a day where I have 0 energy and 0 ideas. There's no inbetween.

When that happens, I sit in the corner with my tea and a tot of baileys and mope about. ☕️🥺

You know what I've never taken my writing with me, I've gone to places, been inspired, then come back, but not ever taken a laptop or tablet and sat somewhere.

My God you really hit the nail on the head. I've been really struggling recently with writing anything because it feels like my brain has a brick weighing it down.

But those times when my brain gets rolling. The feeling is amazing to have things spontanously explode onto paper. 🥹👌

I celebrate Samhain, I'd say it's definitely the section of the wheel of the year I feel most connected too.

I love the philosophy behind carving vegtables into lanterns being to guide good spirits home, but then you have costumes, which is to scare away negative spirits. It's facsinating.

Have you tried making this yourself? What's it taste like?
October 29, 2025 at 6:53 PM
I've not tried publishing yet, but, I think from what I've learnt so far, I think the biggest obstacle to myself, is remembering that not everyone is going to see value in, or like or want to read what I'm writing. I think like a lot of tgings in life, there's also luck and chance, and practicality.

That's a really beautiful succinct way of putting it. It is a big thing, I'm finding, like it's a big chunk of memories and experiences to put down on paper. I hope I do it all justice.
