And again like I said the only people worried about release being a quantifier of good or the people that don't regularly play it, for those that do regularly play it it doesn't mean it's without issue it just means we're still having fun.

Pretty much everything you listed is working consistently besides the occasional bug. You can play multiple hours today either bug-free or with minimal issues due to the work they've been doing this entire year. They went from four quarterly patches to 10 this year.

The only people upset about the timeline and the cost of the game will continuing to talk about promises and things already addressed in the past are the people that don't actually play it everyday.

It's okay if people may not understand why or how players of SC have fun but the important part is we do and continuing to say it's only a tech demo without actually playing it today is a meme in the community and we all just laugh as we have fun playing.

Everyone seemingly forgets to add this important part of the game's history when they talk about release dates and how long it's taken. And as far as I've seen in terms of progress I honestly don't care how long it takes to "release" Because the games playable today and it's a lot of fun.

To have no loading screen. Around the 2016 era It was called to the player's attention they could either ship the game like they had it mainly being starfield the MMO with loading screens everywhere or continue development to add this seamlessness. And that's why we have SC today

The hundred flyable systems and the release date of Squadron 42 was before the change was made to add fully explorable planets with seamlessness throughout the game. In 2015 former crytech devs showcased pupil to planet a procedural planet demo that showed it was possible in CryEngine

Idk how many games iv seen launch in a shit state over the years SC has been going but all of them promised the moon and launch like crap, at least SC beholden to no publishers is making real progress. It's insane people think it's the same whales funding everything but the games growing every year
December 8, 2025 at 7:34 PM
The difference between people not playing it at all/not knowing anything outside of whats covered in popular media and actually playing it is insane. Its definitely not for everyone but no one in games media will ever say anything about the game only being 45$ and many freefly weeks per year.
December 8, 2025 at 7:34 PM
That requires effort and isnt as raigbait as saying "billion $ game not released?!??!"
November 26, 2025 at 1:46 PM
Sucks but I always take solace in the understanding that ragebait articles every 100 million will always draw new eyes to SC because no matter how much you try and paint the picture it's a scam there will always be some people questioning why everyone thinks so negatively and then they try it
November 26, 2025 at 7:09 AM
Yeah but it doesn't incite casual gamer rage much like saying "this game costs more than GTA and isn't even released after X amount of years" and sites like popular games media rely on clicks for ad revenue instead of having any kind of integrity.
November 26, 2025 at 7:05 AM
Yeah I don't think we'll ever see any kind of article cover the fact that it's funding is not just Star Citizen it's four game studios around the world making two of the biggest games ever attempted, the world's largest Indy studio with their first two games being this massive.
