I read a very clear explainer on why the cops aren't getting involved. They aren't allowed to, because it would be an instant green light for the Insurrection Act.

Oh, the irony: Oil sanctions are imposed to limit revenue for governments engaged in activities deemed destabilizing or in violation of international norms, such as Russia's invasion of Ukraine...
