Yes. It's important to name who's actually enabling the damage.

Good on Berman for staying on topic in the face of Cotton's diversionary BS.

As a marketer, one of my first questions is where do they get their info. I've seen some focus group level research on that, but I'm not aware of any larger scale studies. There's a book - The Chaos Machine (Max Fisher) - which is very suggestive that social media is "a", if not "the" culprit.

SCOTUS - the C stands for Corruption.

Republicans in the Senate could have prevented this (and many other cabinet atrocities). Prof. Timothy Snyder foresaw the outcome clearly in November 2024 when the names started to surface.

Once again, I'm amazed at the fluency of his lies. He's done almost nothing, presided over the longest shutdown ever, and is in the dictionary as the definition of smarm. Nancy Pelosi, with a similar thin majority, was much more effective.

The legacy of two people: Leonard Leo & Mitch McConnell. They're definitely not working for the American people.

Bring back asbestos, urea formaldehyde insulation, and lead pipes/paints. And really, who doesn't want a Musk dumpster truck with wood panelling?

Deep State Donald.

Agreed. Bad as Trump is, the staggering thing for me is the enablers in Congress and the business community.

What's the net after deducting those killed by cancelling USAID?

The next SecDef, probably.

Anybody can say anything on Fox. Of course, sometimes there's a $787 million consequence.

I know. That's why he needs to have a word with Kristi the Sycophant, who apparently credits Trump with stopping hurricanes from making a US landfall.

King Canute would like a word.

Republicans say that, in the richest country in the world, it is financially impossible to do what every other (less) rich country has already done. They're not here for you, America.

There is no basis for negotiation here, until Putin is getting pushed back out of Ukraine. What Kushner & Witkoff are doing is planning business strategies to make themselves & Trump richer. Ukraine is an inconvenience to them.

Fourth, it's an ongoing pattern with issue after issue. See point two, seasoned with point three.

So much corruption enabled by the Republican majority & the Roberts Supreme Court. The United States of Augean Stables.

Thanks for posting this. It's appalling, but not surprising.

I don't understand why the activities of these guys isn't a hair-on-fire headline story. They appear to be brokering backroom deals between American & Russian oligarchs that will profit themselves, Trump, & Putin, with Ukraine as the meat in the sandwich. It smells like a betrayal of US interests.

The boat was 2000 km away from the US - not a threat. An open boat is not much of a threat to a naval task force. Finally, killing people clinging to wreckage is literally the example given in the UCMJ of an illegal order.
