The essence of being a human is to act upon the universe and see your effect. That's why so many religions consider work to be a sacred thing. If you are theistic you might even say that our ability to work and create things is God's gift to us: a glimmer of Divine Creation in us.

This is evidenced by the regular occurrence of comfortably retired people returning to work in some capacity or volunteering to occupy themselves, and the way that kids are so often looking for ways to help with whatever task is being done.

Housing is a perfect example of a US market that has far outlived any usefulness it once had. There are 5 vacant homes in the country to every unhoused person meaning there is a great overabundance of supply...

Since nearly the entire surface of the Earth is now enclosed by governments and corporations which at best lock the freedom to hunt and gather for your needs behind bureaucratic obstacles to which your compliance is prerequisite or sell the fruits to you at as high a cost as they can get away with.

We grow more than enough food to feed everyone on Earth, but a huge proportion of that food is wasted because it could not be sold. In a capitalist worldview, any unsold product must be destroyed. It cannot be distributed to those who need it or it would have an adverse effect on the market.

Anyone enclosing part of the Earth for their own personal gain is infringing on everyone else's right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. This is most clear with the commodification of those necessities despite their overwhelming abundance.
