Not at all what I was meant to be doing, but I made a thing. Design also available as a tshirt, sticker, hat, pin... shower curtain... anything you want really.

My car made it almost 20 years and over 216k miles before she reached the end of the road. It was quite a journey, so I took the time to gush about it.

New #blog post!

I've been mulling over this one for a while. A few years back, it took me over a year to read a single book. So far in 2025, I've read 67 books (45 text, 22 audio). Here are my tips for defeating a #readingslump

New blog post just published. I didn't plan to write about defending public libraries this month, but it seemed more urgent than the psychology of spring cleaning.

Anyway, here's some things you can do to help libraries:

Such a small book...
Everyone should read it at least once.

New blog post published today! blog.hallidaynelson.com/telling-my-s...

It took me far to long to learn how to listen to myself. I learned finally how to live my own story, and now I'm starting to tell it too.

Today's (mostly used) #bookhaul comes from A Great Notion. I re-bought a couple titles I haven't read since college, picked up the next in a series I'm loving, grabbed one from a local author, and even found a childhood treasure I'm excited to share with my kid.

How was my Valentine's Day, you ask? He set me loose ina secondhand bookstore and cooked dinner while I got some reading time, so.... PERFECT.

Had an excellent day exploring a couple used bookstores with my partner because he knows exactly how to sweep me off my feet. Adventure video coming soon!

blog.hallidaynelson.com/winter-reset/

This year is coming to an end. Once the chaos of the winter holidays passes, I like to retreat for a while. It feels good for me to take this time to assess where I am, and how that relates to where I want to be. I think of it as a deep winter reset.
