A hungarian countess from the 16th century, Báthory was accused of killing over 600 young girls, to bathe in their blood so she could stay youthful. I could probably write a whole essay about the case, but more knowledgeable scholars already beat me to it. So to keep it brief;

Basically doing a complete 180 on the statement I did for the prompts on day 8/9; a sketch of the notorious serial killer Elizabeth Báthory! But before seeming like a complete hypocrite, did you know that the stories about her might have been fabricated? 🤔

Therefore I usually do not make art of real-life serial killers, since it feels like a form of glorification. I, however, decided to make this piece since the man is long dead, and it is not of his face or his actions towards others, but rather shows the twistedness he took out on himself.

As I was saying; Albert Fish was a dispicable man who did horrible things to others. Now, I enjoy true crime like many others, but sometimes I feel like the topic gets handled carelessly to the point of romanticization in certain artforms - like a dramaseries' that shows no respect for the victims.
