I've done some testing with TestFX, and a problem has been that it is difficult to know how long you need to wait for a certain effect. E.g. you update a ListView's items and eventually a specific Node is supposed to be present in the scene graph. Perhaps this could be a solution!

Leyden still seems far away from a full AOT native image solution, which was the benefit of Graal and your previous mobile app effort (which I still use).

So for JavaFX apps, one possibility is to precompile (relevant parts of) the Java and JavaFX libraries and then interpret the app (class files) itself?

I'm working on a product, where a manager insists on continuously updating a spreadsheet with estimates of how a much time is left on a long list of tasks. I try to tell him that 1) the numbers aren't accurate at all, and 2) that they anyway don't affect how we work. So what's the point?

Why is LTS so important for Pi4J? Isn't that a vendor thing and nothing to do with OpenJDK?
