ah that's often a symptom of failing usb hardware. you could try a different cable (if possible) but sometimes it's the entire hub in the computer that's broken. you could also see if booting in safe mode fixes it; could be software (it usually isn't though; unless you haven't tried restarting lol)

sometimes (more often than you might think) usb ports go bad. try using different ones; you may have to try several, as many of them are connected to the same "hub" (and the hub might be bad).

don't be so hard on yourself! would you tell that to someone else; walk up to them and angrily discourage them from drawing anything unless it will be popular? often times, the drawings i enjoy the most are the least popular. it feels bad, but i also wouldn't trade that time, it's important to me.
