Democrats should not take one step further right than they have for the last several decades of Overton Window shifting from the increasingly authoritarian right as represented by the current insecure bunch of bullies. They should return to the winning message of labour and human rights for all.

The Democrats have pushed people away, but not for the reasons you claimed. Note that Apple is among the large number of companies that didn’t signal their preference for misogyny and racism (that is, they didn’t cancel DEI initiatives). The real cancel culture is from conservatives.
