Yes to all of this. I hope you enjoy diving into Kendrick! Just from everything you’ve said already, I know you’re going to really like his music. So much power and emotion and almost kind of forces you to engage with the music critically if that makes sense at all haha

I have to admit, I was in first grade for the U2 halftime and while I definitely remember it, it’s pretty hazy. I think I will have to revisit that one

Kendrick is a straight up murderer on the mic, but when he smiles he looks like his mom just called him the handsomest little boy.

it’s gotta be a career and life highlight to call drake a pedo on live tv in front of over 110 million people

You have GREAT taste, those are my favorites as well! Kendrick is incredible, you really can’t go wrong with any of his stuff but I recommend starting from the very beginning! And honestly, if you’re feeling nerdy with it, I’ll read the lyrics while listening. His music is poetry at its purest

I agree, though to be fair, his cadence can often be super uptempo which I could see being hard for people who don’t know his music to decipher the lyrics, especially since the audio mix on the broadcast definitely dampened his vocals a bit
