My uncle was a pilot in WW2. He was Eisenhower’s pilot. Ike wouldn’t fly anywhere without him being the pilot. Then Ike was elected president and asked my uncle to fly AF1 for him, but he responded that he’d rather finish his duty as a pilot without the mix of politics. 1/
