I watched this movie September 5 about the terrorist attack at the Olympics in Germany. It was pretty good and intense in some parts. An intersting thing about it was I was 1 year old and about only 4 or 5 hours away from where the events took place.

Tschüs!

Have you heard of the Us/them divide? It’s a psychology term that refers to when we categorize people into groups that often promotes antagonist or antisocial views towards the group you don’t identify with. Do not let it escalate into bad things. Empathy is key.

Rich People Just Care Less
The poor are more attuned to social relations, because they have to be. Reducing the economic gap may be impossible without also addressing the gap in empathy.

I finished watching a Vietnam War documentary on Apple TV. It helped me better understand events that happened in my lifetime. It was really tough to watch but worth it.

We're facing uncertainty about how current events will shape our futures. There is lack of competence and foresight in decisions, ally relationships are strained, and power is given to those who do not work for the greater good. Don't let it get you down or let them get to you. Support each other.

I do not have expectations that tariffs will benefit the USA. Looking at the history of tariffs and trade wars revealed mixed results. Do your own reading and make up your own mind. Here is a link to get you started that gives an overview of several related events:

Be objective, dispassionate. and draw your own conclusions. Elon Musk twice made a Nazi-like gesture during a speech after the inauguration. Musk is far too intelligent to not know how it would come across. Days later he showed support for the German far right AfD and extremism. Wake up and be wary.

I’m so sorry for Trumps comments and stance on gender during his inaugural speech. It’s contradictory to talk about unity and making things better for all Americans and then essentially say ‘nope not you people’ within the same speech.

“Every time you find yourself here, it’s because you chose to come back.” I just finished watching season 1 of Severence. What an amazing allegory and take on work life. It’s a great show. And it’s super cool that the main character is often referred to as “Mark S.”
