Hi! I'm Nicolas. Gamer, blogger, reviewing stuff is my hobby! Planned All Along, my blog, exists since 2013 and I reviewed over 400 games on it so far. And I'm always planning to do more! Link's down here, check out the Archive or the Index!
I prefer positivity but am fair on what I cover.

Received a commission today from @zigzagzazz.iheartpocket.monster, commissioned during @cozycononline.com . Art of my characters Nicolas and Marjorie being prog rock/metal dorks.

Super cute picture, I love it so much.
Anthropomorphic lion and raven next to each other; the male lion wears a hoodie with the logo of Dream Theater on it, while the raven wears a t-shirt with Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon album cover on it above her usual yellow top. They're both winking and smiling at the viewer, and while she has her hand resting on his shoulder, he has rested his cheekily on top of her head; both hands are doing the devil horns, index and little finger raised.

A game about three heroes coming out of retirement to deal with bandits, a sea monster, and an attack on a city. Would be nice... if the game worked right!!!

Time for the yearly RPG Maker game review! A gripping story of revolution against an unfair monarchy, a tale of losses and long-term victories. Cool, cool! Why are the two women of the team wearing clothes that are so damn revealing, then?

(Bilingual stream) I’m taking a break from gaming for the blog to play some Yu-Gi-Oh! (yep, again!) But this time, I’m going deep into nostalgia, thanks to the Early Days Collection!

Current game I'm trying to cover for next Monday has crashed on me every single time I played it, leaving me stuck on a single screenshot superimposed over anything else on the computer, forcing me to log off and log back on, each goddamn time.

This one's getting a goddamn paddlin'.

This whole section really.
Finally: AI cannot do your job, but an AI salesman can 100% convince your boss to fire you and replace you with an AI that can't do your job, and when the bubble bursts, the money-hemorrhaging "foundation models" will be shut off and we'll lose the AI that can't do your job, and you will be long gone, retrained or retired or "discouraged" and out of the labor market, and no one will do your job.
AI is the asbestos we are shoveling into the walls of our society and our descendants will be digging it out for generations:

I wouldn't be surprised if the second Simpsons movie was not the end, and there were hopes for a third afterwards. Hopefully they don't wait 20 more years for that one.

I hope the second movie's tons is along the lines of the first (closer to the early seasons humor) than of the newer seasons.

I won't post a review next Monday - I need to get ahead in articles, so skipping one Monday should work just fine.

I originally hoped to finish Quick Reviews this month, but I have 5 more to do, so I guess I'll just finish them in October.

In today's review: A fairly obscure pixel-art shooter platformer/"metroidvania" about a courier that gets embroiled in a solar system-wide conspiracy that he must unravel. Things get weird, but at least there's challenge.

New art commissioned at @cozycononline.com last weekend - received it this morning before I went to work! One more picture of OC Chess, loosely inspired by the Cheschire Cat. (And, bonus, this one is safe as there's neither a weapon nor blood in the pic - unless you despise Gremlin-like faces XD)
A demonic-looking cat with tattered clothes, a chipped ear, and with an evil-looking grin.

HOLY SHIT IT'S HAPPENING

The blog has officially hit the highest number of views in a month, reaching almost 42.5k! (Last record was 40227.)

So, uh, we've still got 7 days till the end of the month. Which means that number can keep going up!

Steve Silberman is not here to shout it — so it’s up to all of us.

Vaccines don’t cause autism.

Neither does Tylenol. (I mean seriously WTF?!?!)

The “epidemic” of autism is the result of increased testing, broader definitions, and raised awareness.

LOUDER.

Steve Silberman is so pissed about this Tylenol bullshit that he's screaming from the afterlife he didn't even believe in.

Increased rates of autism are due to testing, a broadened definition, and greater awareness. It's not vaccines. It's not Tylenol.

It's like his work never happened.

Alright, gotta tell you right away, I might not have a review ready in time for Friday. Even the Sonic Mania one was done really quick, and I don't know if I'll have time in just a few days to get something ready. I can try though! I will definitely skip a Friday or Monday, but hopefully not both.

Oooh, just caughta shiny Prinplup in Legends Arceus! Gonna evolve that into an Empoleon right away, set it aside for later... I'm making decent progress, but it's still slow. But nice! I understand the joy shiny hunters have now.

I knew I'd get to this one eventually - Sonic Mania can best be described as made by fans, for fans, with full backing from SEGA themselves, and the result is glorious. You can play as Sonic, Tails or Knuckles (and more thanks to a DLC), through stages new or returning from classic Sonic titles!

Moree pictures will come as I received the remainder of the haul, as I commissioned many more art pieces during this weekend's @cozycononline.com !
hamelnico.bsky.social
Thanks a ton to Temrin ( @wildelementstudios.com ) for this piece! With time, the reporter aspect of my lion 'sona has been cast aside, but it's good whenever I get a chance to request to add it to a picture!

Piece done during today's @cozycononline.com art stream for @hamelnico.bsky.social taking some serious notes~

#FurryArt #DigitalArt #Lion #CozyCon
a light yellow lion with a fiery orange mane that spikes up in the back, wearing a blue tshirt with a darker blue hoodie/jacket and pants. The character looks very intrigued by what they see or hear and are making notes in a notebook. Bushes and trees in the backgroun.

@cozycononline.com is going on this weekend! It's a fun event to commission art from artists, attend panels, all from home! (Using Discord voice chat, VRChat, Twitch, etc.)

I'm already planning to come out of this weekend with a lot of new art of my characters.

Shantae has to deal with an apparent danger to the Genie World, while defending Scuttle Town and her world from various threats. She's having a busy day, let's put it that way. Though the spirit of a Metroidvania is there, this game is instead split into stages; is this an improvement or a weakness?

Completely co-sign. This is basically how @sorayachemaly.bsky.social, @laurabates.bsky.social and I forced Facebook to take hate speech against women seriously in 2013.

I really should think again about reposting my own stuff from time to time. At least get more eyes onto the blog. But things have been so hectic, and *waves furiously at everything*, that my mind's either been elsewhere or desperately trying to keep itself busy with anything other than real life.

I think we can shelf this one under Game Eulogies; Riff Racer is technically not dead, but it's pulled from stores and the one feature everyone bought it for no longer works. Which sucks, I had so much music to race on it.

There's also no way to make the oppressors look "cool" with The Long Walk. Too many people who read/watched The Hunger Games came out thinking "damn! The Capitol is cool!" Missing the point.

Here, the "Capitol" is a totalitarian government, and the deaths are unpleasant, raw and unglorifiable.
