Hi! I'm Nicolas. Gamer, blogger, reviewing stuff is my hobby! Planned All Along, my blog, exists since 2013 and I reviewed over 400 games on it so far. And I'm always planning to do more! Link's down here, check out the Archive or the Index!
I prefer positivity but am fair on what I cover.

Finished Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition (including Separate Ways and Assignment Ada) today around noon. I'm good and ready to report on it all; tonight, I have some time, so I'm doing basic edition of Part 1 (and maybe Part 2 as well), to remove the train-of-thoughtness.

As a Québécois, one of my favorite regional "tropes" is "movie dubbed in Quebec in international French but there's at least one voice actor with slight notes of a Quebec accent anyway, and you can't tell if it's on purpose or just the dub actor who just doesn't have it down just yet".

Blogger really needs a feature that allows blog authors to block specific commenters. I've had to delete something like 5 or 6 comments from, the same person (at least I assume, same username) that's just "Fortnite free guide" and a dubious link to elsewhere.

This morning, I finished Resident Evil 4 Wii! ...The base story.

I still have "Separate Ways" and "Assignment Ada" to finish.

For what it's worth, I have Part 1 of that review drafted, and Part 2 is abot halfway done! I will focus on that later today once I'm back from shopping.

Hand-drawn games? That's too normal. Claymation games? Now we're talking! It's pretty much the only correct answer to convey a story as weird as the one in Hylics 2. Seriously, this game, just like its predecessor, is downright bizarre in every possible way. And it's great!

How do I loathe "AI"? Let me count the ways:

1) Data centers using a metric fuckton of electricity, leading to:
a) higher bills for everyone,
b) increased fossil fuel usage,
c) more greenhouse gases, accelerating climate change even more

Psst. Guess which website is still online? Yep, that's right, Planned All Along is still running!

I'm currently editing Friday's review, spellcheck/reediting+adding images later today.

After which I'll focus entirely on the last major review of teh year: Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition.

13 more days, and we're now at 38 responses - I really hope I can hit the 50 before the month ends, so keep sharing this survey around! Every little reskeet helps!
REMINDER: I am still taking survey responses for my December project! If you've got about 30-ish minutes of free time, fill in the form! There's a LOT of games here, so you could either remember stuff you had forgotten, or discover stuff you had never heard of!

And, please, do share it around!
Have you heard of these games?
For December, I want to write an article on my blog in which I discuss the 12 most obscure games I ever covered. I cannot reach results about such a list on my own, hence why I am making this availabl...

Still working on other long-form reviews, so in the meantime, here's about a dozen ultra-quick reviews of SNES and SEGA Genesis games in the Nintendo Classics. Fighting games, shmups, puzzle games, run-n-guns, and more!

Tomorrow, I'll be posting an "Exploring the Switch's Nintendo Classics" article. I had been collecting a lot of paragraphs on quick games over there as well, but I didn't have any specific console where I had enough for a single article.

So I split it between two consoles: SNES and SEGA Genesis!

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

Wondering why no one likes your posts anymore, even among your friends? It's because @jay.bsky.team and team have decided to hide a huge amount of content from all of our feeds by default.

Here's how to turn it off.

One week ago, I posted my latest long-form review after two months of quick ones.

Tomorrow, I'm posting another long-form one, though it'll cover several extremely quick games off of itchio. (And, yes, I sis feel the need to address the Collective Shout stuff, that felt inevitable to me.)
A horror-themed review on Halloween? I haven't done that in a while! In Ubisoft's ZOMBI, London is taken over by a zombie apocalypse, and you play as one (or many) survivor(s) trying their best to survive and, maybe, even find a cure. Or an escape. Or maybe both!

Not sure whether to go for Pretty Rings or In Space No One Can Hear You Scream for that one. But I'm pretty sure Curiosity Killed The Mars Rover gets third place.
Favorite NBW song about space or aliens? 👽 🪐

As we finish up Multiverses Redux, I have to shout out Lone Ranger which has become one of the finest sounding psychedelic songs in our catalog. With an honorable mention to the new mix of “Andromeda” which sounds SO different now
NBWVEMBER BEGINS NOW. YOU ARE REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE.

First NBW song you ever heard?
For me it would be “I Don’t Let My Band Members Sing” - the first song we ever recorded. 🥳

Found some time today for PL:A. Caught a shiny Psyduck earlier today, and a shiny Drifblim! It almost feels like a whole % of shiny hunting finished in one day!

...I'm nowhere near done with that Alpha+Shiny Dex, am I?

REMINDER: I am looking for the most obscure games I ever covered on Planned All Along. If you have some free time and haven't done it yet, you can fill in this form and answer whether you've played a game, own it, heard of it, or never heard of it! If you've done it, please spread the word!
ATTENTION EVERYONE!
You want to help me for a future article? You want to contribute to a data collection idea I had? Well then, take some time to fill out this form! My idea is a Top 12 I'll write in December about the 12 most obscure games I ever covered, and this Form can help!

Holy crap, I thought I had hit a peak in September beating the previous highest number of views on my blog in one month...

October blew it out of the water! September ended at nearly 56k... October, at nearly 74k. @.@

And yes, several thousand sof those views are from the last few days.

I managed to get some progress done in Resident Evil 4 Wii tonight, will probably do more over the next two days. I would have thought my recent experience with ZOMBI would have prepared me, but nope, there are fresh new surprises here!
