Full disclosure that I work for Union, but it's worth checking out v2 (www.union.ai/docs/v2/flyt...). It maintains the best v1 components (ie. versioned workflows, scale), butshift away from DAG to pure python execution enabling things like try / catch and retries with different resource requests.
