I think sometimes you have to consider the people this affects the most. Who is most impacted by this shutdown? It isn't the 2 houses. However, it is potentially every household. The Democrats might hurt Trump by continuing, but also hurt the very people they serve. Is being compassionate, wrong?

@mrjamesob.bsky.social Love your work. Must feel hard sometimes among the numskulls. When Nick Ferrari sneers that the UK had nothing to do with this "settlement", it might be worth pointing him to this. If people thought it was too detailed for Trump, it probably was. Also too subtle for US.

Then let them back in?

I suggest Australians keep very quiet about ball tampering. You are in no position to comment.

Difficult to know without a sarcasm font, unfortunately 😉

Nobody voted for Elon Musk. Where was his name on the ballot?

We need Leveson II and III

There is also too much influence and too little accountability in our media, both print and broadcast

I don't disagree and you are morally correct, but that is not how the electoral system works. We need root and branch change to the whole system. Political disengagement is a systemic problem and largely down to a lack of education. We have no civic responsibility training and too much tribalism...

It is never worthless, because it is registering your view. It may have no impact on the result, due to the vagaries of FPTP, but it is never worthless.
The sooner we get shot of this shitty system, the better. Voting for who you dislike least rather than who you want is a crock.

I agree 100%. However, choosing not to vote at all is the wrong option. No vote equals no right to complain.

Looks great. Certainly look to buy it when available

Be nice if someone spell-checked things before posting though. While "recieved" is a very minor mistake, it damages the credibility of the post and makes it look hasty and unprepared. Should be "received".
However, this is important and both sides of guilty of taking credit for the other's actions

Several years older than @mrjamesob.bsky.social , from Aldridge, just outside Walsall, but been amongst the Southern tribes for over 40 years. Used it then, use it now
