And for Oct 2nd of #EmbervillePixelChallenge, the "Dream Class" was explained to be, what playable class we would want to see in the game Emberville. I made a Warrior subclass, the Runesmith, that uses hammers and runes for buff/debuffs.

For Sept 30th of #EmbervillePixelChallenge prompt "Kymia".

Kymia, which in the Emberville universe is still mostly unknown what it actually is, though what we know from game lore is something that can be interpretated as the games respawn mechanic, thus. A respawn loop.

For the 26th of Sept, Dusk, I made a little creature that would awake to illuminate the darkness, much like a firefly or will'-o'-the-wisp, yet a stone spirit. I also wanted to animate it, because I found it too cute!

🎲✂️ concept 2.1? texturing the map has begun. Borders will be worked on to get better readability. I colored the border fortifications and towns in the kingdom colors, to have a better understanding whom (during setup/start) controls it.

I've only had solo playtests so far.

🎲✂️ 2nd concept, of the boardgame/wargame concept. upscaled.. recolored towns and castles into distinct colors.. no more plains just all terrain. bit clusterfudge of everything when testing digitally. Need to do some adjusting and balancing and solo testing and figure out automata mechanics..

🎲✂️ my attempt at making a wargame. First concept; way too many hexes, too many factions for a 1-2+ player game. Fog of war mechanic, supply resource mechanic, etc. The next concept is upscaling the map, less hexes, less automata kingdoms, more compact.

While I have done more planets, I took a break and looked at tile design, and decided to go for a card that represents the planet, with colonization cost, resource exploit, construction, name of planet and VP.. This means of course that I have doubled the work for myself. Excellent.

takes an expectedly excessive time trying to do unique planets for the board game, and I'm only now on the 4th biome (dune/sand planets) out of 11 biomes.

I can finish my day with all the 18 tiles for the first player faction. A lot of dried, scorched, and volcanic-type planets. Even one unique planet that is sought after by all players, a Gaia planet, or just a terraformed salt planet?

..one tile on your neighbour to the left, and then to the right, and then you should have 2 tiles left, place them on your own spiral.

That's the galaxy. this is just concept still, needs some HC playtesting to shape it better.. 5- and 6-player setup is messy.

But other factions tiles, gives...

Not at all spent half my day researching how to do some proper nice surface alien planet textures, and then just wing it for 45 minutes in photoshop, and it turned out okay. - just 106 more planets to go, 12 different biomes give or take

here, updated tiles of some.. scorced volcanic planets..

Solo playtesting, a 2-player setup. A red player with "hot" planets, and a brown player with "dry" planets. Resources cubes on the tiles, for harvesting once colonized. Need to fix the rest of the tiles and setup a 6-player setup, as that will be.

Played in #TabletopSimulator
