Reporting on fires based on radio traffic. Primarily focused on information that helps understand where fires are and where firefighters are responding to them.
It absolutely is. Radio traffic indicated at least 3 separate drone incidents were interfering with firefighter response yesterday alone, and news indicates a drone ran into a super scooper, punching a hole into it and grounding it. Glad you know your way through the bureaucracy of reporting them!

Unfortunately there are also other folks who have done the same - this one might also be worth raising with them: bsky.app/profile/cweb...
Wow! This drone footage really shows the massive scale of destruction from the Palisades fire.

If you do have time to listen to radio traffic, you can do so here: www.broadcastify.com/listen/ctid/...

Specifically, Los Angeles County Fire V-1 is the channel used for most of the Palisades Fire related personnel/equipment movements and inbound calls - it's what I've been listening to.

Watch Duty at app.watchduty.org is where I usually go for gross updates if I don't have time to listen to the radio traffic. They also show the most recent fire perimeter map there. Likely won't see a new fire perimeter listed until tomorrow.

What does seem of relevance is this meeting: www.youtube.com/watch?v=dc3o...

Specifically:
1. 11:30 contingency break
2. 13:50 reversed winds on Saturday
3. 16:35 behavior due to reversed winds

Hopefully that helps allow you to draw your own conclusions from relevant details shared by experts.

I'm probably best off sticking to answering questions as objectively as I can. I'm just a radio nerd without any firefighting experience, so it's best if I just report what I hear on the radio.

This wound up being near the #KennethFire if the Watch Duty updates on spot fires near the Kenneth Fire relate to the spot fire reported here.

@tarry-not.bsky.social I know you've been asking about this area - giving you an explicit mention to drop into notifications.
