there are plenty of opportunities to write really gritty, serious stuff for them but considering what they endured to get to this point it’s also fun to think of them as a successful team rocket

tbh they are so happy to be free from their previous ties that they haven’t even incited anything— most of their confrontations have been with the scions, thinking that they could bring them both back. they’ll keep trying, but makotoh and aymeric don’t plan on losing to them

so tl;dr is an aymeric who becomes corrupted and in giving in he chooses the person he loves over his obligations to ishgard and now they’re on a permanent honeymoon where they can do anything they want
