Also we did the shading/ color bottom to top / top to bottom, cuz the top of his head it right on my floating ribs, diaphragm, and the lil titty nipple at the bottom of my rib cage, and that whole area is maybe the worst tattoo pain i have ever had, i almost tapped on line work.

But if you need to use it, use it, unless you get put under, youre probably not getting a painless tattoo bigger than a full color 2 in square with numbing cream. But man if youre only getting a few of these do it like i do it. Tough out the line work, then numb it up for sesh 2 and fill it out.

Unless youre under 2 hours and you apply it and wrap in 3 hours before you get there. What it does do is buy you a window of time to not be in shock, gives you some time to add to your tap out time, mines 3 hours, youre not touching me after that.

It felt like a 1st degree burn turning in to a second. It felt like i just got punched in the stomach for an hour then lite on fire. My opinion here is this, the numbing spray is front loading 30 minutes of pain in to 10,and boy are you gonna pay for it. So no the numbing cream isnt 100% painless.

Here's the lovely caveat to that, THE NUMBING SPRAY BURNS LIKE A MOTHER FUCKER FOR 10 MINUTES,AND THAT ONLY GETS WORSE THE MORE WORK YOU DO, my siblings in christ, the last spray for white highlights at hour 4, after the whole piece was colored...I cant describe to yoi how bad that hurt.

For as long as possible. Color started as about the 1 1/2 mark and that took basically the remainder of the 4 1/2 session. During which i needed the numbing spray 3 times. Now numbing spray is fun once the whole tatto is shaded, basically you get sprayed, wait 15mins and t get about 30 painless.

Also this cream doesnt work for shit if youre over bone.This center hyena is the biggest at about 5 1/2 in wide 7 1/2 long and thanks to talking with my artist the process was kinda okay i guess. We started shading at the bottom to top, color the opposite way, to ensure the numbing lasted.

In my experience numbing cream works like this no mayltter how long it sits or how tight you wrap it, you'll get about 45mins -1 hour totally pain free, and then about another hour of it wearing off, once youre in to hour two youre on your own.

So this was a 4 sitting tattoo line work for the whole piece, then shading and color per hyena head 1 sitting each, i also wanna point out even with numbing cream ilI almost passed out during the center and left of (right in the photo) twice.
