Shame His Lordship never sat down with Pete Sinfield and bashed one out…

…A song, for Heaven’s sake!

That’s a coincidence. That has appeared on Spotify just recently. Not sure how long it will stay up. They purged a load of unofficial ELP stuff not so long ago. It’s from Wheeling I believe, November ‘77. Bought a double cd of it just before covid. Unofficial release of course…

C) Closer To Believing
Knife-Edge
Tank

D) Fanfare For The Common Man/Rondo
Show Me The Way To Go Home

For full setlist you could use other live versions of Tarkus, Nutrocker etc.

Using only the tracks with the orchestra plus Show Me The Way To Go Home ‘cos it’s such a great closer, this is the perfectly decent double album they could’ve come up with. IMO of course!

A) Abaddon’s Bolero
The Enemy God…
C’est La Vie

B) Pictures at an Exhibition
Piano Concerto 3rd Movement

Surprised. Not!

It’s all over the shop. Fanfare… and Show me The Way To Go Home which were set closers turn up on disc 1. Abaddon’s Bolero which opened the orchestral gigs is placed at the end of the first disc. The album ends bizarrely with Keith’s Piano Concerto and Carl’s showpiece Tank! Crap artwork too!
