Are you forgetting that VA & NJ elections were during the shutdown?Schumer deserves at least some credit for damaging the GOP politically during that time.

There’s a bipartisan discharge petition in the House to extend the healthcare subsidies and active negotiations in the Senate. One reason I’ve become more vocal defending Dems is the odd clowning on them from the left after a well played shutdown.

The minority leaders are arguably responsible because of their success turning Trump into a lame duck. They won the politics of the shutdown and then seamlessly shifted the narrative to the Epstein files. Venezuela is Trump lashing out in response.
