People say it rains a lot in Scotland. This is generally true, but it does depend where you are. It's been a pretty dry year here and our local reservoir at Backwater, Glen Isla is still 11 metres down!

Autumn leaves have fallen from a row of trees making a puddle of colour around every trunk, as if each one has just shimmied out of it's leafy dress and let it fall to the floor

There are chirpy baby coal tits everywhere in the garden at the moment. This wee fella sat there while I topped up the feeder, obviously hasn't learned to be scared yet!
