#rip Lee Elia, and please St. Peter, don't ask him what he thinks about Cubs fans. Because I know, St. Peter, you made that mistake once asking Lasorda what he really thought of Kingman's performance.

I’m covering Giants for MLB.com today. Not surprisingly, Schmitt is out after getting drilled hard on the wrist yesterday. Koss play third base and wisely second base. No further word on the extent of Casey’s injury.

This is the best analysis I've seen about the Denver trade from the perspective of both teams. This is the kind of analysis I expect from Brian Kenny at MLB.COM

It's not that Devers wanted to play third base full-time. It was more that the Sox kept changing their story on what they wanted from him. And he finally got fed up and said no more.
I don’t get the 3B component - Devers wanted to play 3B full time.

I'm guessing that Jordan Hicks is going to Boston as a partial offset for the $250 million the #SFGiants are taking on for Devers. Hicks is due another $32.5 million over the next 2 1/2 seasons. That's not an insignificant amount of money. I assume that that's how it will go.

Tesla has lost 30 percent of its value since Inauguration Day. He owns only 13% of the company. How can the institutional investors, who own 45% keep him as CEO? They can't find 6% among the rest to fire him?

This has nothing to do with passion. This is life in the unfettered gambling era. It's only a matter of time before a major league throws a ball game at the best of gamblers, if it hasn't happened already multiple times, and players in their families are attacked because they lost a game.
Lance McCullers Jr: "I understand people are very passionate and people love the Astros and love sports, but threatening to find my kids and murder them is a little bit tough to deal with."

Adames is the player of the game for today, but not for the line drive that Yelich could not catch. He earned it for whatever he said to Doval when he initiated that ninth-inning mound visit.

No sympathy for you, Mr. Soybean Farmer. You voted for Trump, even though he said he was going to go after China and in his first term actually screwed soybean farmers with his first China trade war. Then the government had to bail your ass out, which kind of makes you a socialist. So shut your yap
