I think people think that when evil happens, we will know. We will be forced to stop & witness & act: that is how we will know FOR SURE that it's real this time.

But that's not how it happened, and it's not how it's happening now. The world that can keep turning, does- until it's far too late.

There are striking parallels, unsurprisingly. Like this article on the role of the little man who "orders Hitler around" like a puppet controlling his image, or this interesting paragraph that goes into quite a bit of detail about how short Hitler and Mussolini seem compared to larger (better) men.

They are strange in their familiarity. Alarm bells in every column but never panic, peppered in with levity or another gentle take on the summer tourism in Ireland. No call to arms, no mobilization against evil. Just a slow boil. Frogs in a pot

I was skeptical; I worried it was secretly a woo-to-Q style situation lol But they are very laid back, chill farmer people. Helps that they host community events like Oktoberfest too!

Our little NPO (4 FT staff) is

-conducting a community health needs assessment
-running a training program to certify multilingual doulas
-running a Khmer older adult action group
- organizing 2 local conferences

and all our org partners are doing JUST as much & more
