So is this guy saying that because I'm brown, I can't be English? In my opinion that's racism. English identity has always been diverse. Reducing it to skin colour only divides us further and denies the reality of who we are as a nation.

The challenge is that Farage/Reform get a disproportionate amount of airtime - especially in a largely right-leaning media.

Add to that a knack for making things up and dominating the narrative. There’s an argument Labour has to take the fight to them, otherwise those messages go unchallenged.

Starmer recently said he would “confront Reform, not ape Reform” -
a line that stuck with me.

To me, it signals a refusal to simply mimic the right to compete. It suggests Labour must offer a distinct approach.

I’m curious how others see this - is this the right way to meet the challenge?
