I often come across suggestions that teachers need to be experts in children's literature and, crucially, that significant amounts of professional development time should be devoted to achieving this aim.

Spent the first half of the 6-week holidays reading children’s books in preparation for following my class in to year 6.
Now it’s time for adult books.
